i just HAD to pass the info along. Someone from the site told me my banners and djs info is being show there. Of corse that drag me to check it
Now im not much for sites like this. Usually its just rate a pic see a sexy one back and forth bla bla waste of time but,
this one is a bit different.
A GIRL OWNS IT!!!!!!!!
so sweet what she does with this thing.
SHe has promoters help her out by throwing (location parties)
This is pretty cool.

In short what she does is, pics a random city by which there are people registered on her site from
and does a big MEET ME RATE ME party in that city. WOW
i went to the one in philly and ppl had come from all over the tristate area.
I gotta say, she took a common thing and found her nice niche out of it
Step back, all ye wannabe rappers and check out one of
the originals who made hip hop possible. Before Africa
Bambaata was throwing parties in the Bronx, before
Prince Whipper Whip was rocking with the Fantastic 5
and before the Rock Steady Crew ever attempted their
first windmills, Umar Bin Hassan and the Last Poets
were making rhythm and poetry live on the streets of
Harlem.
Thirty years later a number of the more socially and
politically conscious emcees are planning a tribute
album to the Last Poets featuring Common, Dead
Prez, Chuck D, Keith Murray, Buckshot, Kanye West,
Erykah Badu and others.
Since 1999, Brooklyn Producer/DJ Dub Gabriel and Last
Poets’s founder Umar Bin Hassan have collaborated in
many ways.
First with Umar’s now legendary appearance on Dub
Gabriel’s Baraka Orchestra album, Then with Dub
Gabriel and Prof. Shehab releasing Umar’s album
produced by Bill Laswell. Gabriel’s Current album
“Bass Jihad” is a modern Middle Eastern Dub
masterpiece being compared by Billboard magazine to
Brian Eno as well as on the best of 2005 list from
many magazines and radio stations from around the
world.
The night will be a celebration of not only the return
meeting of these two artist, but also it will be the
I seriously need your support.

What I need is for you to stop in at Pyramid this Wednesday for a drink or 2 PARTICILARLY early in the night, even if just for half an hour. Come before you go out or go home…whatever.

If you can’t come, call some people and have them come to represent you.

The momentum of this event needs an 8:45 to 10pm shot in the ass. I can’t stress this enough. If you don’t want to pay for a brief stay, go on the guest list at:
The ad will be in this Wednesday’s Village Voice and we have 1000’s of 4 color passes to get out.

Freek Factory in unholy conjunction with Disorient invites all y’all bass loving freekz to the NYC subterranean party of the season. Join us in celebrating the much anticipated release of Lorin(bazznectar)’s double dose cd Mesmerizing The Ultra on Amorphous Records.

The new music is deep; throbbing; significant:

Glitched out, smacked up bass bombs, melodic psychedelic swamp ballads for the sub-reptilian brain, phat chuggers and nasty churners, full of subversive lyrical content and calls for human dignity. Music to come go chant down Babylon with your booty wagging in syncopated assent.

If you haven’t heard any of Lorin’s new material then come down and taste the nectar. If you have already been bathing in it then you know the deal. Either way we will see you there, yes?

Don’t sleep.

From 10pm-6am on the night of October 7th we are occupying the premises at 251 W. 30th st (formerly known as Downtime), in the pulsing heart of midtown Manhattan for an unrepentant full throttled bass orgy. You feeling that? Join us as we transform the semi-raw space into a lascivious den of outerworldly delights.

Step inside: We’ve got wonder and we’ve got mayhem in equal measure; whirling things and things that slither; inflatable devices of dubious intent; pirates, dandy’s and trannies; light projecting machines; dark vixens and pimped out maidens writhing atop woofers; scantily clad tiggrrrs fearlessly scuttling about the ceiling; spirit creatures of all description wearing flesh, dense folds of undulating human mass throbbing in ecstatic unison to the fever of the music: Freekin’ The Ultra, know what I’m saying?

Now Sequoia’s going to make things beautiful like she always does. Satsi’s coming all the way east to make things shimmer and glow. Freek Factory Dancers be properly instigating delightful madness. and Disorient is going to touch everything with their glam-tech sensibility and fill the dark corners with things that go blink in the night.

Lorin promises me that he’ll put on his swamp suit and hit us with the rhythm stick. BB.

Don’t let me forget to mention that we’ve got 3 rooms of top shelf talent lined up for your buggin’ pleasure:

The All Good Funk Alliance properly handling your Nu-Funk needs. D.C. got it going on; Rhythmystic wompwompin’ on the funky raggafied tip; Sunder rippin’ things up on turntables and knocking down the one’s and two’s, tight as tight is tight; Spyro’s next level progressive Live PA; Wavewhore and Sean Infinitee reppin for the Nu-Skool hedz; The Bass and Orion bringing that deep house vibe to get things lubricated; AtoMikDog, Zapper, and the Drop In Posse with European style Techno and Breakbeats all night on Live PA in the downstairs lounge; JP001 going to start things right on the funky tip: and I am going to bring it all home with a late night journey to a deep place we’ll call tomorrow when we get there.

Are you down for the ride?

Come celebrate life, Lorin, love, whatever. Don’t matter, let’s just freek it beautiful, yes.

Yes.

If you're unfamiliar w/ Mr. Carfagna's resumé, he's been known to do some DJ-ing (Chi-City's "Sheer Magic" party - the nation's longest running funk soiree), writing (Wax Poetics magazine; a much anticipated history of funk being co-written w/ DJ Shadow) & producing as well (the "Express Rising" project on Memphix Records).
Note: The B61 bus runs from Greenpoint to Red Hook through Dumbo and Downtown Brooklyn.

Performers: Room 1: Harriet Tubman Pistol Packin’ Live Room

Main Squeeze Orchestra:

A 25 person?! all female accordion ensemble. Nuff said. With some serious orchestra players, so this ain’t a joke people. It’s the real deal, and I hear (from a female accordion player I bumped into at a gig) that their arrangements of popular chunes are retarded. Going on around 11.

Femm Nameless:

All female afro-beat ensemble headed by Toli, who sings and plays a mean trombone and does a dope cover of Nina’s ‘See Line Women’ that needs to be pressed on vinyl soon! Going on around midnight.

Paprika:

Another all female percussion based ensemble, we’ve had members play at a Remove Ya party before via their batucada group, and these mofos do their thing. You! Dance! Performing at 1am.

Room 2: Elizabeth Cady Stanton Caberet Throwdown

Apologies to the performers but some of the folks at Rubulad booked this room, so I have little info on this, but I have no doubts it will be properly demented in true Rubulad style, so do czeck it. On the variety/caberet tip, but don’t expect some b’way musicals. Pleeze.

DJs: Room 3: The Sojourner Truth Bad Ass Get Down Lounge

DJ Nydia

I’ve booked Nydia for a quite a few parties and couldn’t front on getting her for this one, cos she always represents. Heavy ass funk/latin/afro-beat/reggae/etc. You! Yeah you! Why aren’t you shaking your ass?! Spinning 10:30-12:15

Lupe Loop

Another looong time downtown playa, I’ve know Kathleen since the Botanica happy hour days when we used to listen to Joe Piscapo channel frank Sinatra singing Bruce Springstein. Lupe Loop, as the name implies, has a heavy stash of latin in her crates, but also underground disco, 70’s am gold, and whatever else she feels like dropping. Spinning 12:15-1:30

DJ Misbehavoir

A London transplant who’s been in NYC for more than a minute now, and been behind the decks for years, promoting underground sounds, lost album sides as opposed to the hit single, and has a policy of ‘no sheep’…i.e. mofos who can think for themselves instead of letting radio tell them what they like. From white label UK hip hop, classic dancehall, roller disco and beyond, this girl has it. Spinning 1:30-2:45

DJ Shakey

What can I say…some of you know but some don’t, but me and Ms. Shakey have been ‘hanging’ for quite some time, and she’s been a huge influence not only musically but as a person, one of the more fearless ladies I know, and a inspiration for this party. And she has a ton of records in every conceivable genre. Spinning 2:45-4.

DJ Sims

Sims runs one of my favorite weeklies, ‘Popular Corner’, that features guests every week, and a flyer to go with it. Sims, through her flyers and ‘yearbook’ has been documenting the downtown NYC DJ scene, and I applaud her for that. Her last mix features everything form Art Ensemble of Chicago to Styles of Beyond. Spinning 4am on.

DJs: Room 4: The Amelia Bloomer Dance Til You Rip Yo Pants Room

Klevervice:

I’ve know Shel aka klevervice for quite some time…she and I threw the 1st Golf party, which was 18 DJs spinning all styles of music in her old loft. Currently doing the Friday Bunker party with Spinoza at Sub-Tonic and extremely eclectic on the decks. Spinning 10:30-12:15.

Justine D:

One of the mofos behind Motherfucker, an amazing multi-room party where you can actually here punk rock played on large soundsystem with 1000’s of freaky folks getting down, plus underground electro, soul and funk and whatever…upbeat music for downtown kids. It’s a NYC institution at this point, and we’re very happy to have Justine represent with some rawk and roll and beyond. Spinning 12:15-1:30.

Rekha:

Rekha represents another bad ass long running party: Basement Bhangra. Dope dope party and another NYC institution, these are the things keeping NYC New York fucking City and not Starbucksville. She’s been in it to win it long before Jay Z teamed up with Punjabi MC and will be there long after. Underground east asian sounds and way beyond. Spinning 1:30-2:45.

Sara Walker aka Doomer:

I met Sara a zillion years ago when she worked for Subharmonic and hit me off with some Painkiller CDs (dark John Zorn death metal jazz shit.) Over the past decade I’ve seen and heard her at various DnB and breaks parties around the city (she is a resident at Direct Drive and Statik). Sara is a flawless mixer and one of the sweetest girls I know who plays some of the illest shit out there…aside from my girl of course. Spinning 2:45-4am.

DJ Unjust:

I’m not super familiar with Unjust’s sets but she comes very highly recommended from klevervice and Spinoza from the Bunker, on the minimal tip, and does damage. I will be czecking it out. 4-5:15.

Honeychile:

Just added to the bill recently, and another looong time NYC downtown mofo. Currently playing guitar with Apollo Heights, has collab’ed with the great NYC left field producer Badawi (check his 1st LP from the mid 90’s, Honeychile has some great tracks on that), and also has been known to grace the decks at various spots ‘round town, spinning underground new wave, punk, funk, ska, whatever. At this point you’ll be passed out, but I’ll be dancing. From 5:15 til breakfast.

brainchild of the talented Schwartz bros, Torbitt (aka DJ Lil' Shalamar)
and Wilder (former ace bar slinger at the Milk n Honey, aka the best
drinks in manhattan bar none), chin chin melds jazz, rock, electronics
into a funky melting pot served directly to your shaking ass. Also
featuring folks like Jeremy Wilms (who played for years with free jazz
master Daniel Carter) and Yoshihiro Takemasa (co-leader of Akoya Afrobeat
Ensemble and Organic Grooves percussionist).

Mousrock plus maybe L Ron (DJ)
founder of version city rekkids (putting out people like Onieda, the
Liars, This Moment in Black History, etc), books many a fine musical combo
in the basement of Lit, and throws the Cockfight and OK Cola soirees
around town. And owner of many dope records, which is why we have him
here. Plus possible L Ron who also does the cockfight parties when not
diggin' for wax in brazil or on the dancefloor at Subway Soul.

Dan Melchior Band
Dan is a longtime stalwart on the so called 'garage rock' scene, tho he's
not so easily pigeon holed as others, and has collaborated extensively
with the Medway folks, Billy Childish, Holly Golightly, etc...while the
Broke Revue is no more (I caught them at a Rubulad some time ago) we're
very happy to have him on the bill so expect the real deal rawk and roll.

Room #2 Dance til' you rip yo pants call an ambulance...

scratch famous
Jeremy is beyond an aficionado in Jamaican music. He's a fucking guru,
and is responsible for schooling me on many, many, many, did I say this
enough? many dope reggae records, from ska ska ska to gun tunes, the
heaviest dubs and demented michael jackson covers. He's a founder of the
Deadly Dragon Sound System, which is now a shop on 102 Forsyth, go peep
it, or online. The source for quality JA tunes, shop with a shot of
white's overproof rum! 'Every day there's a soundclash/and another sound
get dropped'.

Mike Simo and Catalyst
Jointly responsible for the long running Aerosol Burns parties at Boogaloo
(I missed the legendary Fall show there, unfortunately or fortunately).
Mike runs the ill Troubleman Unlimited label. Who else would would stink
up his station wagon walking dogs for Jersey yuppies so he can put out
albums from groups like Erase Errata and Tussle? Catalyst was one of the
people behind the Happy Birthday Hideout, where Rubulad now resides, great
afterhours freakfests during the evilness of the guilliani’s reign.
Always destroying shit musically. Bring your breakdancing outfit.

$mall ¢hange and DJ Shakey
y’all have heard enough about me, but my girl? Always repreezentin’,
whether on the decks (check her legendary ‘Thrift On!’ parties), behind
the camera (films featured at both the NY and Chicago film fests),
scribing articles (for Sweet Action man, under 18 not admitted with
perverted parent) and, well, other things I can’t really talk about here,
wink wink. One of my favorite folks to tag with, Jules always keeps me on
my musical toes.

Ursula 1000
Since moving from Miami to NY sometime ago, Ursula has been killin’ it,
releasing 2 full length LPs and 2 slammin’ mix CDs for ESL (Thievery Corps
label), as well as celebrated glam rock comps and dope bootleg remixes.
Like the Funky Kingston edit. Dresses mod, mixes smooth, and rocks the
fucking house everytime. No, you don’t have that record. And you don’t
have that one either. Keep trainspottin’…

#3
ass shakin' rusty dusties...

Nydia
I met Nydia when she used to open for Bobbito on the regular with only the
heaviest funk, latin, afro-beat and beyond. Now she’s helping it grow
working with folks like Anti-Balas and Sharon Jones and the Daptone
family. Quality sounds guaranteed.

In-between
Frequent partner with Soulcracker (who killed it recently at Rubulad),
in-between slices and dices funk 45s you can’t afford, hard hittin’ hip
hop, and modern breakbreat productions…that’s why is party is called
Fixing Breaks people. These people wreck shop in this dept. Edutainment.
Thanks for the Sound Foundation rekkid capt.

Sascha
Another lucky cat resident, UK transplant and crate diggin’ motherfucker
with more records than he knows what to do with. Believe me buddy, I know
how ya feel. A man who knows the joys of diggin’ in his own collection.
And always comes up with some serious shit, mixed properly. More cheese
on toast, please!

Leche
Remember the mid 90’s, with all the dope downtown vintage salsa and latin
parties? Geo was a playa back then, and now, with things poppin’ off at
Joe’s Pub on the regular. A boogaloo master with blackbelt deep crates.
Everybody salsa, but not like modern romance. Get it? Don’t worry, its
not that funny. Check www.geoxie.com for mas info.

Room #4 Musiq non-stop…techno-fucking-pop.
OCDJ
WFMU’s boddington guzzlin’ firework shootin’ wonderboy, ace band engineer
and rising gun tune afficinado, OCDJ bootlegged his high school graduation
sound system so they dropped Pink Floyd at the end of the ceremony. Now
that’s ILL. His tastes run all over the gamut, but tonight maybe more on
the breakcore-ish ragga jungle side…or not. Who knows.

Swingsett
Back on the scene after chillin’ upstate for a minute, Swingsett is a
loooonnngtime NYC downtown stalwart and someone who I’ve crossed paths
with many many times. Good peoples and good rekkids, from the latest west
London broken beat to vintage jazz grooves. Electronic funk.

Scott Mao and J. Dennis
mild mannered Other Music employees by day, eclectic DJs by night, but
always with a healthy amount of blissful techno, which they’ll be sharing
with you here. Just caught them opening for John Tejada at APT and they
were vibing hard. Get open.

Peter Gunn
The man behind the long running Red Light party (get your fresh grapefruit
juice on!), his knowledge of music from rockabilly to crunk is almost
topped by his ability to live in the greater NYC area on 75 cents a day.
The man feeds off vinyl fumes, generic soda, and the Pakinstani Tea House.
Tonight he’ll be droppin’ quality Grime, the genre of the moment that
people are talking about but have no clue what’s good. Find out.

And snaking thru everywhere at some point:

Vamolah batucada ensemble
Anti-balas drummer Phil isn’t just tied to afro-beat, and has been playing
and leading a Brazilian drum group for some time. Batucada is some
instant party starter shit so follow along as they cause chaos throughout
the night.

The compilations & reissues he's A&R-ed for the Stark Reality, Ebony Rhythm Band, LA Carnival, and of course the amazing Funky 16 Corners, are essential listening for anyone interested in independently released late 60s & early 70s funky obscurities. Taking a week off from his Funky Sole party in Los Angeles, Egon will be joining us this Saturday to celebrate the release of his latest comp, Cold Heat, another fantastic offering well up the standard set by Stones Throw/Now Again's past efforts.

Resident DJs:
Mr. Fine Wine (WFMU's Downtown Soulville)
David Griffiths (Wet America)
Jared Boxx (The Sound Library)
and yours truly, Chairman Mao (ego trip NYC)

** We will be giving away complimentary 45s of various Stones Throw/Now Again releases to the first 30 heads through the door ! **

** OPEN BORU VODKA BAR 9pm - 10pm! **

He has releases on Bless Records and Muti Music and has recently released his debut album Truth Has No Path on his own label Refiner Records. Kraddy began making a name for himself in SF as a genre twisting DJ with the Stress Collective and released "HiphopJungleHardcore", an unprecedented mix tape that fused the three genres. After Drum and Bass lost its allure Kraddy began to produce more breaks and moody glitchy beats. He hooked up with the Terpsichore Group throwing and playing parties in SF and LA. His new album is an eclectic compilation of work he's done over the past five years.

So yeah, I'm gonna be taking over on tuesdays at Sin Sin from now on. This week is a bit of a test run, since it's a trifle short notice.

Anywho music policy is super lax. I might bring some breaks records but mostly it's gonna be downtempo, nu jazz, soul, funk, broken beat, bossa nova and whatever my guests feel like playing. Basically all the stuff i dont get to play at the rigid breakbeat nights, in essence.

Speaking of guests, Miss Blue Sky is gonna come hang and play records with me for the evening. There might be someone else coming through, will report back when i know.

ALSO speaking of guests, since this is weekly, i have plenty of slots open. Stop by and drop off a cd or at least convince me you're worth booking and ill try to get you in.

That's right. Not one, not three, not two, but four friggin' distinct semi-defined rooms blasting the finest vinyl artifacts for NYC's best local seletahs. My people hold on. I'm not talking the kind of DJs featured in lad zines or the pages of page sixck, nor the living jukeboxes that play to the Return of the Living Dead zombified masses around town. I'm talking about real deal in the trenches digging/working/sleeping/breathing music motherfuckers. That is what we are representing here. Underground shit to shake your ass and melt your brain to.

Do not schlafen on this shit cos it only happens in this lil' ole town once in a blue paper moon on this scale. Plus I'd like to do this again so show up and get drunk cos this is only the beginning of the dementia to follow!!!

Who are these people? Glad you asked. Very long, so read, read, read on. See ya there.

$¢

Behind Door #1:

In the "There Before the Grace of God Go I" discotheque:

DJ Duckcomb (Beauty Bar | Alldisco)
Patrick aka duckcomb (yes he has a duck afro pick to comb out his white 'fro) is one of the hardest hardcore muthfuckin' diggers out there. This lanky soft-spoken mofo has got more heat then you can ever afford on ebay, and he gets the old fashioned hard wayŨbreaking his back going thru dusty furniture shops and the dollar bins in rekkid stores. Attn nerdy 12" know-it-allsŨbring your pocketbook cos school is in session.

Mike Semonetti (Crazy Rhythms Soundsystem | Troubleman Unlimited)
Who else would would stink up his station wagon walking dogs for Jersey yuppies so he can put out albums from groups like Erase Errata and Tussle? 1/2 of Crazy Riddims Soundsystem with Dan Selzer, Mike is one of the 1st people I hit at the FMU rekkid fair and always has some ill shit. And that's his double's, people. Post punk deep disco chicago booty edimication.

Dave Elliot and Ron (976 parties)
Hailing from the shaolin, Dave Elliot is one of the more open minded cats in the downtown club scene, equally comfortable in any setting be it street-hop, a scooter rally, a sweaty gay disco or a stripclub. He hosts the fine '976' party Wednesdays at Lit with Gibby and has been doing shit for more than a minute. Ron is a resident at 976 and never fails to school me on the lastest ass shaking booty shit, like the other night when he dropped Technics genius remix of 'Music Sounds Better With You', a song I always detested until I heard Assault play it on 45. Now perfection has been achieved with punch edits and added drums. Catch Ron before he splits to Illdelph in the next couple weeks. You will be missed, see ya in the racks at ArmandsŨbut its not too late, yetŨ

Elevator Man (Crest Toothpaste | Rebels w/o a Clue)

Sorry Josh, couldn't resist. Besides, you did get pizzaid for that shit! Mr. Elevator Action and I go way way back to the Bar XVI daze, which was a nice little funky oasis during the krystal-natchlife terrorism of the Ghouliani no dancing allowed gestapo task force. We kept in touch throughout and may or may not have recently collaborated on a lil' impeach the president re-edit feat. King George in his own werds. You probably can't find his 1st white label but don't worry another is on the way. Besides collecting funky blues rekkids and sucking corporations dry for commercial music cash, Elevator Man is a longtime downtown DJ pro and brings a mix of rare miami electro-funk with s'more modern UK breakbeat culture. For the b-boys/girls.

Duane (Negroclash | Other Music)

Another muthafucker I've spun with to hell and back, from FMU benefits at Smack Mellon (remember those?) to basements at Serena's, APT, and your Mom's. Duane Harriot (yes, Derrick is his Uncle, sonŨ) has records and knowledge coming outta his blunted eyeballs. Recently killing it with Twilight Tone at APT and currently 1/3 of Negroclash with Lindsey and Language (aka DJ My Little Pony), expect some late late night deep and dirty chicago vibes for all you straight cruisers. Makeout partner not included.

Door Number #2:

The "Gundelero" LoungeŨ

DJ Insane (ex-Happy B-Day Hideout)

In case you don't know, the current Rubulad space is housed in the former Happy B-day hideout space, which ran for a zillion years and was up there with the best quasi-legal venues in crooklyn. Big, big ups to Insane, and Catalyst, who if he paid his cell phone bills, might also be on this billŨI still got love for ya, call me sucka! But Enrique Alfredo Alfonzo aka Insane is hardly chopped liver (altho his liver is probably 63% Sapporo at this point) recently collabin' (and then some) with Pal Joey and has mad heat so stand back 200 feet.

Scratch Famous (Deadly Dragon Sound System)

While this man can't really scratch and is on the way but not quite famous, Jerermy aka Scratch is truly the man with the masterplan. He's set to open a full on vintage reggae rekkid spot in the lower east side by the time you read this, or check www.deadlydragonsound.com for your Jah vinyl crack fix. Or better, hear some wares for sale as he drops jamaican music from the very new to the very old. I'm forever indebted Scratch Famous for schooling me on both Pincher's 'Bandelero' and Anthony Johnson's 'Sound Clash'. I'm doubly forever indebted for what happened after he got doubles of said items and I passed them to my girlfriend. I'll omit the details, but "you should never dis the championŨ"

Jun (Rob Sonic | Sonic Sum)

Yet another motherfucker who's been in the downtown trenches waging the war for music with integrity. Sometimes it feels like a losing battle, but what else are ya going to do? I used to see Jun and Fred Ones destroy, destroy shit at Spoon in the early-mid 90's, that Tuesday party was the shit, doubles on the Sound of da Police, etc. A decade later we still find Jun killin' it, busy behind the decks and the mpc. Just back from Amsterdam diggin at Utrecccht with a bunch of vintage eastern euro prog rock shit to jack, Jun one of NYC's best kept secrets and always on the level, even after three too many GlenfiddichesŨ

Synapse (Heads of State)

One of the hardest working mofos in the biz, Synapse is constantly out there politickin' and droppin' bombs with the finest in hop hop's royalty, has a few mixes cookin' on the computer, and after a recent one night stand, is near perfection on his crab scratches. Y'know Dave, I hear they have this shampoo that gets rids of the shitŨseriously Synapse slices and dices 'em and we're glad to snag him on the late night tip as he sneaks out of his regular at Red and Black that night. Werd 'em up.

Room #3:

The "Hung Up" Club

Mr. Finewine (Downtown Soulville, WFMU)

While the little rekkids with the big holes have come up bigtime in the last decade via ebay, etc., Mr. Finewine has been scoopin' up 45s long, long before the brainfreeze bandwagon and continues to turn up ill ill joints. (Thanks for the Shakleford Singers sir!) Don't test, this man is officially OG, outta control 7" gangster. Come shake your ass to records worth more than your used car.

Gerald McBoing Boing (Blackcrack | Wax Poetics | Acme DJs)

GeeMcBB is another completely outta control rekkid addict who forgoes sleep to hit the 26th flea market before the sun comes up in the dead of winter. But that's why he owns an OG Har-You Percussion Ensemble and you don't. You can also find his writing (under Robbie Busch) for quite possibly the best rekkid quarterly on earth, Wax Poetics. Get every issue. And he's 1/3 of the DJ supergroup Acme DJs with mice elf and DJ Shakey.

$mall ¢hange (Blackcrack | Nickel and Dime Radio, WFMU | Acme DJs)

Besides putting together this lil' deal you can czeck archives and playlists of my radio show at: wfmu.org/playlists/nd
Rubulad is my favorite place in NYC to place and big shout to them for letting book this thing. Show up so we can do more damage in the phuture!

Live acts:
Expect a seasoned group of musicians dropping some upbeat and downbeat, depending on your mood. Moonstompin'!
